Maintenance Technician
Salary:
$24 – $28/hr
We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for the preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance of our plant assets. Your goal is to minimize downtime and ensure maximum production reliability through expert troubleshooting and repair.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose, dismantle, and repair mechanical devices, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
Machinery Operation: Set up and operate shop machinery including lathes, drill presses, grinders, welders, and cutting torches.
Preventative Maintenance: Take a proactive approach to equipment upkeep to improve long-term reliability and uptime.
Logistics & Inventory: Research and order necessary parts/tools and maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
Facility Support: Operate forklifts and aerial platforms; maintain a clean and safe departmental workspace.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent). An apprenticeship or Associate’s degree in Industrial Manufacturing is a plus.
Experience: 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting motor controls and field devices through PLCs. Experience aligning motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
General Trades: Skilled in welding, plumbing, carpentry, or forklift repair.
Computer Skills: Competent with MS Office and Windows.
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb, kneel, crawl through tight spaces, and work at heights.
Comfortable working around moving mechanical parts, fumes, or vibration.
Must be able to wear all required PPE (safety glasses, respirators, face shields, etc.).
